My blogger experience

Well, this is the first blogger experience I've had, honestly, when I heard that we would write blogs, I thought "damn, what will I do? I'll have to write about what? About me? Or about random topics? I don't want to do that", but now I think in every topic we've write, and I really enjoy this experience, I'd like to still writing and reading the blogs of my classmates, in fact.

When we start the semester, I thought I couldn't write in English very well, because always when I tried before, I went blank, but when I started to write the first blog, little by little I realized that I could write, "slow but safe", and today, when we did the final test, I wrote sooooo much than 60 words, I was inspired, I just hope I have not had many mistakes, LOL.

A topic I would like include in the future would be any related with video-games, but I know that not all people like video-games, so I think that any general topic would be okay. I should say that the topic suggested by the teacher would be very interesting and funny, I'd like to read other blogs, It's funny read about other people, is a good way to know each other and get closer.
It has been a nice and interesting experience.

A subject I enjoy studying this semester

Well, today I should write about my favorite subject, if I had written about my favorite subject a few months ago, probably I'd said that I like maths, but maybe because my English teacher is so nice and close with the class, or because I always liked English, now I can say that my favourite subject is English. Of course, I must say that my classmates are very nice, this makes the classroom environment is quite pleasant, and it makes me feel more comfortable.

In classes, usually when we go to the English laboratory, we write a blog about a topic given by the teacher (like right now), and when we go to the classroom we usually work in pairs and we do activities where we practice phonetics and we improve our pronunciation

I like this subject because I always liked English, since I had English in school, and I want to improve my English because a lot of video games I like are not translated, some are in Japanese, of course, I can't play them, but if I learn English I can play those video games, and even I'd can translate them for the people that don't understand anything English, like me some years ago.

Career related website/ An expert on my field

It was a hard decision choose one topic, finally I choose "An expert on my field", but it was a very difficult decision to choose one person in my field, because if I had to write about someone that I admire, that person would be an artist like Leonardo da Vinci or Vladimir Kush, but this time I think I had to talk about a scientist, and in fact that doesn't inspire me much.

I decided to write about Ernest Rutherford.
Rutherford was a New Zealand-born British physicist who came to be known as the father of nuclear physics. He was born in Brightwater, Tasman District, New Zealand, in August 30, 1817. Before his death, Rutherford had a small hernia, which he had neglected to have fixed, and it became strangulated, causing him to be violently ill, finally he died in Cambridge, England, UK, in 19 October, 1937.
After his death in 1937, he was honoured by being interred with the greatest scientists of the United Kingdom, near Sir Isaac Newton's tomb in Westminster Abbey.

Rutherford discovered the concept of radioactive half-life, proved that radioactivity involved the nuclear transmutation of one chemical element to another, and also differentiated and named alpha and beta radiation. He was awarded in 1908 "for his investigations into the disintegration of the elements, and the chemistry of radioactive substances", for which he was the first Canadian and Oceanian Nobel.

I don’t know if it’s okay say that I like him, it’s just that everything about radiation seems interesting to me, and I had to choose someone related with my field, so here it’s.

My favourite Movie or TV Show

My favourite movies are The Lord of Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, both are adaptations from books of the same name written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Both are adapted in the same world, and both are high fantasy adventure films.

The Lord of Rings trilogy was filmed in 2001, 2002 and 2003, the main character is named "Frodo Baggins", was interpreted by the actor Elijah Wood, and his gardener, "Samwise Gamgee", who accompanies him until the end of the story, was interpreted by the actor Sean Astin.

The film narrate the story of Frodo, I can briefly say that Frodo was entrusted with the important mission of carrying a powerful ring, which corrupts the minds of those who carry it or use it, to Mordor, where it would be destroyed, in the way to Mordor, Frodo knows brave warriors that promise protect him from the enemies that search the ring with evil desires, until the ring was destroyed.

For other side, The Hobbit trilogy was filmed in 2012, 2013 and 2014, this time the main character is named "Bilbo Baggins", interpreted by the actor Martin Freeman, and he is Frodo's uncle.

This film narrate the story of Bilbo, who is convinced by the wizard Gandalf the Grey to accompany thirteen dwarves, on a quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug. In the way Bilbo met Gollum, a hobbit that had been corrupted by the power of the ring, and as a result went nuts by this. Bilbo tricked Gollum and stole his ring, but Bilbo tells anything to Gandalf and thirteen dwarves. I can't say anything more, because it is better that everyone see the movie.

The first time I saw The Lord of Rings was when I had about 4 years old, and I was with my brother, I always was scared in the scene of the Widow in the last movie, And the first time I saw The Hobbit was 4 years ago, also with my brother. I think that both are my favourite movie because since I was child, I thought it had a very good plot, I also really like the characters, dwarves, elves, wizards, and the environment of middle-earth.

About my favourite character, is "Legolas", interpreted by Orlando Bloom, maybe it was obvious, but I like how cool and skillful he can be, not to mention how handsome is.

My Favourite Picture

My favourite picture was taken the day 4th May of 2016, by my friend Victor, I think this pic is my favourite because that day I was with my best friends, specifically, the two men that are by my side in the picture, Javier and Diego, they've been my best friends since I know them, 5 years ago. Well, the point of choose this picture is that the day that was taken, we went to a lot different places, I could see a lot of historical architectural works, and as seen in the picture, we went to the Reloj de Flores of Viña del Mar, it was the second time I went to Viña del Mar, is a great memory because today the Reloj de Flores no longer exist, pitifully, I think was a good place.

Well, it really is not a great picture, but I like it, it brings me a lot good memories with my friends, and makes me feel nostalgic.

Music

When I was child I didn't had a favourite song or a favourite band, I always listening to the music that my brother put in his stereo, he had a lot of cassettes, of some bands like Nirvana, Queen, The Smashing Pumpkins, R.E.M, The Cure, Oasis, Alice In Chains, among others, he listening to grunge, rock, punk, metal and I liked every song he listening to. The years passed and finally I realized that I really like punk rock music, I become to listening to Green Day, Sum 41, Rise Against, AFI, The Offspring, among others, and when I was 12 years old I listened a Foo Fighters song that particularly caught my attention, it's called "Everlong", thanks to that song, I started to listen to Foo Fighters, and I realized that I knew a lot songs of they thanks to my brother.

My favourite song

Now my favourite band is still Foo Fighters, and my favourite song is Everlong, but I listen to other bands too, I like rock, punk and grunge music, bands like The Offspring, Papa Roach, Sum 41, Green Day, Chancho en Piedra, Oasis, but often I listen to Nightwish too. Well, I like Avril Lavigne too, but I prefer her firsts albums. Also I listen to japanese rock music, some bands like ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D, or ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION, but I think anyone knows them.

About my favourite songs, I like a loooooot songs, so it's a little hard choose just some songs, but besides Everlong, I like very much He Wasn't from Avril Lavigne, Architects from Rise Against, The Siren from Nightwish, You're Gonna go far, Kid, from The Offspring, and Castaway from Green Day.

What's my favourite piece of technology?

My favourite piece of technology is my personal computer, you can do everything in a PC, from listen to music, watch videos, movies or pictures, write a book, to use an emulator to play video games, even make your own app.

I got my first personal computer when I had six years, my brother bought it, and I remember that I was really excited because I've never though that you could emulate a console and play video games on it.

I've spend a long time of my life in my personal computer, I think this is the best tool ever created, I can't think in something you can't do on it, because the PC become useful for everyone, if, for example, we talk about the advance of science the last decades, personal computers have become a great help for this area and others.

Now, of course, I don't use the same personal computer that my brother and I had ten years ago, I have my own notebook, it's Toshiba, it's not a PC gamer or something like that, but is useful for playing video games that I like, listening music, and other things, although in the future I'd like to have a better PC.
